Here’s what our customers say about Moucherolle Cycle Tours
Vercors Regional Park is a hidden gem in France, its a stunning place to ride your bike and Moucherolle Cycle Tours are a gift to cyclists, they are absolute Superhosts, nothing is too much trouble for Andre & Valerie, be it on the road or in their fabulous Chalet in Villard de Lans. They score 10/10 for everything!
Andre and Valerie are top class hosts. We had a fantastic week of cycling and amazing food. I would recommend them unreservedly.
Can’t thank Andre and Valerie of Moucherolle Cycle Tours enough for their Incredible Hospitality and providing our group with a Truly “EPIC” week of Alpine Cycle Touring, We can’t wait to return!
Thank you so much Moucherolle Cycle Tours for an unforgettable trip – this is my second year won’t be my last ! 😍 the food and routes get better every year, your hospitality is outstanding thanks again and hopefully see ye soon!
An amazing cycling experience, fully supported by wonderful hosts!
Moucherolle cycling tours is definitely the best cycling tour I’ve every been on!! Fromstart to finish it could not be faulted, accommodation, routes, food were top notch. Every aspect was catered for, we literally left our brains at the airport as Andre , Valerie , Fanny , Clement and pesto🐶 pandered to our every need.
Routes were challenging but knowing you had a beautiful home cooked meal and cold beer or two waiting really got me over those Cols…… chapeaux guys!!! hopefully I will see you all again next year.
Just back from an amazing week with Moucherolle cycle tours . We were taken on some of the most amazing routes I have ever been on and climbed some of the most iconic climbs in the world . Andre and Val are two of the most amazing people looking after us from the second we arrived until we went back to the airport ! I couldn’t recommend them enough and am already trying to sort out a visit to them next year
We had the most fantastic week with Andre and Valerie in The Vercors and the High Alps. The routes that Andre selected were absolutely amazing and the food that Valerie prepared for us every day was simply gorgeous. We are already planning our next trip.
A fantastic 5 days of cycling, and food. The balance of 3 days in the Vercors (to get acclimatised) and then 2 days in the High Alps is about right, although this can be changed according to the particular group’s wishes. Each days’ route is reviewed the previous night, so there is always the flexibility to change the route depending on the forecast weather, and state of the legs! Andre and Valerie, are great hosts and provide fantastic meals every night for us hungry cyclists. Fully recommended, hope to go back and see them again.
Every aspect of the cycle tour was fantastic! Everything was so well organised that all we had to worry about were the climbs!! The hosts were so lovely – accommodating, supportive, and friendly. The routes were amazing. Stunning scenery, great climbs, and fun descents! Was great having a support car and amazing local food prepared for us each day. Was such an amazing and fun week. I want to go back!
Truly a wonderful week in the Vercors and Alps. Andre and Valerie made us feel so welcome from start to finish and I feel like I have left France with two new friends. The cycle routes were challenging but the views from the top of each Col made them worth it. The cycle support was excellent- particularly when on the last day we all scattered in various directions! Despite numerous attempts at getting lost ( on a fairly straight road) we were all safely found and corralled up the 34km long col du lauterat onto the Galibier! Andres knowledge of routes was excellent, although I fear I may have broken him on the last day with all my questions about percentages! Precise percentages per each km of road!
Each evening we were treated to a 3-course delicious home cooked locally sourced meal by chef extraordinaire Valerie… despite cycling 410km and climbing the height of Everest in 5 days I fear I may have actually gained weight on this holiday!
Can’t wait to go back next year!
10 stars! Sadly Just back to a wet and windy Cork after a week with Moucherolle Cycle Tours. It was the most amazing week! I could not rate this tour highly enough. Andre and Valerie are top-notch hosts. Check out their website for exact details, but Andre takes you on the most fantastic routes around the Vercors and the Alps should you wish. Each day Valerie serves up a wonderful breakfast and then aperitifs once you come home, followed by a 3 course dinner of the most delicious homemade French cuisine paired with local wine and beer. It’s exactly what you need after a tough day in the saddle, and to set you up for the next day. I am celiac and Andre and Valerie looked after me so well, far better than I could have expected. It really is a cycling and gastronomic holiday. A must for cyclists looking for a serious challenge and good food! I can’t wait to return and cycle different routes
Fantastic 3 days cycling in Vercors: a real undiscovered gem. I’ve done a few European cycle trips and this is up there with the best in terms of spectacular scenery and challenging but ‘do-able’ riding. Andre is skilled at building you a route each day that fits with your group’s ability and preferences and offers the right level of ride support during the day. Breakfast is plentiful, varied and delicious. The aperitifs are a chance to sample local food and drinks and to wind down after the day’s cycling. Valérie’s 3 course dinners are truly restaurant-quality, using locally sourced produce in regional speciality dishes, with as much wine, beer or Chartreuse as you care to (or dare to) drink! The rooms and other facilities are immaculately clean and comfortable. They will even do some clothes washing if you need it. This has been a really memorable trip with great cycling, scenery and food but the magic ingredients were Andre and Valérie – such genuinely lovely people and wonderful hosts
What a brilliant experience! From start to finish the service from Andre and Valerie was first class. The rides are perfectly tailored by Andre to suit the standard of the riders whilst ensuring you are pushing yourself. I particularly welcomed the way in which Andre kept in touch with you throughout the ride, ensured that there was somewhere for coffee and lunch and made sure there were no mechanical or medical problems. The food at night is exceptional and very filling. The highlights for me were the stunning scenery and the care and attention we received from both Valerie and Andre. 5 stars does not do them justice.
We headed to the area to take part in a four day cycle challenge. We made an excellent choice with Andre and Valerie of Moucherolle Cycle Tours. The day starts with a fantastic breakfast and a weather check. Andre then prepares a pre ride briefing outlining the route, points of interest, hidden lunch stops etc. There was ample opportunity to tinker and change the route, once agreed, these are loaded into a Garmin sat nav and off you go. Fully supported by Andre (a qualified mechanic and cycle fan) who is never too far away in a van of spares and water . The scenery and variety of the local cycle routes is simply incredible, in my opinion it easily beats some better known areas.
Once back at the lodge, drinks are served with a selection of local nibbles. Proceedings are then handed over to Valerie who prepares the most wonderful meals, making great use of local produce and all served with fantastic local wines and great company.
In summary, incredibly nice people offering a brilliant service.
I really enjoyed the week cycling with Andre. There was excellent variation in the routes and Andre provided fantastic back up support. Andre and Valerie provide great food and hospitality each day and I would thoroughly recommend Moucherolle tours to anyone thinking a cycling trip to the French Alps.
Absolutely loved my week’s cycling with Andre and Valerie. Great scenery – great food and great company. Highly recommended.
